XSL, the preferred stylesheet language of XML, is used for transforming XML. For instance it can be used to transform XML into HTML for display in a browser. By enabling this option, you can associate an xslt template in your XML file. This reference will allow a XSL processing engine to apply the stylesheet to your XML file. For instance, current versions of both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox will apply the transform and display the result. Atomik Xport does not run the xsl transformation, rather it provides a reference to the stylesheet that can be used by an xslt processor.
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) can be used to format XML documents, and the stylesheet link can reference a CSS file.
