The Atomik Tools palette displays a set of buttons used to apply manual overrides to your layout, for example: associating images with captions and copyright text, and excluding boxes from extraction. Once installed, you can open the Atomik Tools palette from Adobe InDesign’s Window > Atomik Tools menu.
The palette consists of a number of buttons, checkboxes and dropdowns. Hovering your mouse over a button displays a tooltip identifying its purpose:
Note: Under normal conditions the image association buttons are disabled. The buttons enable under specific circumstances related to their functionality, depending on the current selection.
In addition, if you have sufficient screen space, many of these buttons can also be displayed in the Adobe InDesign “Control” palette. This can be enabled by choosing “Customize...” on the Control palette context menu and enabling Atomik Tools:
