Chapter 14 Extracting Hyperlinks

Anyone who has browsed the web will be familiar with hyperlinks as a navigational item which, when clicked, takes the viewer to a different webpage (or even a different part of the same webpage). Further, they can be used to trigger tasks like file transfer or to open up a new email.

QuarkXPress allows you to add hyperlinks to your content, supporting the common protocols:

http://
https://
ftp://
mailto:

Similarly anchors can be added to create destinations within the document that can be targetted by hyperlinks.

For information on using hyperlinks in QuarkXPress, see the QuarkXPress documentation.

Atomik Xport SE supports the extraction of hyperlinks and anchors to your XML. This means that hyperlinks and anchors in your pages can be retained and used to navigate through whatever electronic media you choose for repurposing your XML.
