Atomik Dynamic Publisher (ADP) is an online collaborative document and workflow management system based around QuarkXPress Server 7 and Adobe InDesign Server CS3 - platformed on the Alfresco CMS/DMS Enterprise product. It enables remote clients and internal editors to collaborate with their document designers all within one integrated, secure, web-based environment. ADP uniquely provides remote editors with a powerful, convenient browser-based way to view, edit and print entire QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign documents remotely from their own computer, ensuring that constantly changing information is accurate, even if they are in multiple locations or different countries. As document designers you benefit from auto-versioning and file management and can continue to work with the document in QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign. Importantly you as the Designer retain control of the document style, format and layout throughout.  Key Criteria for Publishers ADP has been exclusively developed to provide the ideal solution to problems typically faced by todays document publishers: How can we reduce costs and speed up our publishing processes? How can we create a simple document proofing and approval system for our clients? How can we open up our existing publishing systems to allow remote authoring and editing of our publications? How do we allow controlled access and collaboration around that content close to the point of publication? If your production process needs the edit approval of content from Editors, Authors and Users outside your publishing production facility - then Atomik Dynamic Publisher changes your capability to deliver finished products. In addition, because the Editors are directly making edit changes on the Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress page the time it takes to proofing and approval of high impact documents, magazines, ebooks and journals can be reduced by 33%. This will free up Sub Editors and internal publishing production staff to do other things close to the production deadlines. The brilliant thing about this product is that its so simple to use - Editors do NOT need to know or understand QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign to use it, they can edit, and change content on the page securely from anywhere in the world - they just need web access and a browser! Manage Your Documents As it is built around Alfresco, Atomik Dynamic Publisher is also a document management system, i.e. the basic unit of data is a document. This means that any type of document can be stored inside the system including for example, Word and Excel documents, XML, PDF and image files. Operations such as CheckOut, CheckIn, Update, Version and Edit can be performed on all documents stored in the system. In addition to this, QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign documents can be rendered, edited and dynamically converted to PDF all within the web browser. As a document management system, ADP provides password protected visibility of, and access to, documents; permissions to boxes in QuarkXPress and InDesign documents can even be allocated on a user/group basis. Changes to documents are tracked (audited) and a full version history and audit trail is kept via workflow and CheckIn/Out procedures. Apply Customisation and Branding Built-in workflow can be fully customised and applied for each client or project. Workflow actions can be automatically applied between workflow stages such as create high/low resolution PDF, send email, major version or preflight etc. The Atomik Dynamic Publisher interface is also customizable. Branding for you and your clients can be applied to the main log-on page, to the web page template and to each client folder on a per-client basis. |
