London, UK: 3rd September 2024 – Benetech and Easypress announce that Easypress’ Atomik platform has become the first to join Benetech’s Approved Publishing Tools (BAPT) program.

Easypress' publishing platform, known commercially as Atomik ePublisher, delivers accessibility-compliant eBooks that meet Benetech’s approved GCA Program standards.

‍

Easypress has a long history of developing and hosting technology for the automatic production of EPUB3-compliant eBooks for book publishers globally.

‍

Easypress' automated eBook production process, first demonstrated at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2008, has become a benchmark standard.

‍

Easypress productionized the capability to produce EPUB3-compliant eBooks into its Atomik eBook production platform in 2010. It has since become a leading vendor of eBooks on a “No-Touch” basis for eBook publishers globally.

Easypress has been delivering eBooks via its publishing clients to Benetech since 2010.

‍

Easypress started enhancing its eBook production technology to deliver accessibility-compliant EPUB3 eBooks with Benetech’s encouragement more than two years ago, and today, it can offer a production eBook that meets The Daisy Consortium’s ACE Check standards.

Easypress can also provide publishers with additional technology and tools for adding alt text descriptors to digital objects in the EPUB3 file.
