This year, Easypress announced the latest release of the Atomik eStylist software for 2026! So, what's new?

‍

• Section Auto-Detect can now be configured to handle right-aligned and hanging-indented paragraphs better, before and after chapter headings.
• Ability for Section Auto-Detect to be configured to map outline levels (e.g. heading 1, heading 2 etc.) to a specific role, such as a part, chapter or section.
• New style sequence checkbox option to "Split Paragraphs at Line Breaks" prior to applying the style sequence.
• Tools menu item to “Convert Shapes and Charts to PDFs for InDesign”
  • This requires MS Word on the same Mac. Invoking this tool will extract shapes and charts from MS Word as pdf graphics which are then subsequently inserted into the document using "'Automatic Picture Insertion". These pdf graphics will be ingested by AeP or Adobe InDesign.
• Displays Word equations.
• Menu item and keyboard shortcut to find next equation.
• Improved display of list items and tables.
• Improvements to handling of anchored text boxes.
• Bug fixes.

Additional update releases of AeS 2025 included the following updates:

• Core Typefi features included in standard version of AeS but only enabled for specific genres.
  • This is only relevant to those wishing to integrate AeS with a Typefi system.
• The document info UI has been simplified.
  • “Compact Document” is now performed automatically if needed.
  • “Accept All Track Changes” is a settings option which is performed by default.
  • “Delete Unused Styles” is a settings option which is performed by default.

• Improvements to the “Auto-Detect Sections” feature.
  • On macOS there is now an additional dropdown on each candidate. Where the section header has been identified based on visual clues, you can now choose the role of the candidate. For example, part, chapter, or subheading, as well as other roles that are configured in the genre.
