Our Sisterhood raises awareness and develops a personal understanding of the positive impact being a confident young woman can make on her future success. Our Sisterhood believes in ‘Girls with a dream become women with a vision.’ Promoting young, female voices, Find Me Among Them is an exploration into race, identity and equality as told by eleven teenage girls living in London.

Rebecca Thomson and Rachita Saraogi founded Sisterhood as they graduated from Central Saint Martins, London where they studied Design and Visual Communications. Coining the phrase ‘girls with a dream become women with a vision’, Sisterhood provides teenage girls an environment where they can express themselves and become driven young women.

In 2021, Find Me Among Them was commissioned and produced through the one of the charities projects Sisterhood School. Sisterhood School has been working on a 1-year programme with girls aged 14-15 at School 21 (Stratford, London) on a Leadership and Literacy programme with the aim of giving young girls the skills, tools and support needed to write the diverse stories featured in the anthology.

When the team at Easypress were first contacted by Sisterhood, we were delighted to accept the work of such young and talented authors. The variety of short stories, poems, drama, and comedy within Find Me Among Them made the typesetting process extremely enjoyable. Discussing the best possible layout of the chapters with Rebecca and Rachita enabled us to ensure each author’s work was highlighted for its individuality. By using their designed chapter titles on recto pages, the print extent was met with ease before their deadline.

Atomik eStylist proved invaluable during the typesetting process, as did Atomik ePublisher. Both tools enabled Easypress to style, collate and produce the final pdf for Sisterhood, while considering the specific styling of each author’s piece. The process was seamless and AeP proved useful when creating sample pdf pages to show potential chapter layouts to the client.

Working on Find Me Among Them alongside Rebecca and Rachita has been an absolute pleasure for everyone at Easypress (as well as my personal favorite project since I joined the team). The talent and creativity of the authors is refreshing and greatly worthy of recognition. We thoroughly look forward to working with Sisterhood in the future and wish the authors all the best for the future.

Easypress continues to closely follow the social media campaign of Sisterhood and has seen support for the anthology rise from strength to strength. To find out more information, show your support or pre-order a copy of Find Me Among Them, please visit: oursisterhood.co.uk
